Dr. Germaine Pentsil is an organizational psychologist, executive HR leader, and founder of G. Pentsil Consulting, a Detroit-based advisory firm dedicated to strengthening leadership capacity and building resilient organizations.
With more than a decade of experience in human resources and over seven years leading benefits and leave strategy, Dr. Pentsil operates at the intersection of people, policy, and performance. In her corporate leadership role within a large healthcare system serving more than 4,000 employees, she oversees benefits and leave operations, leads compliance and audit initiatives, supervises high-performing teams, and designs systems that balance regulatory integrity with employee experience. Her expertise spans FMLA, ADA, ACA, COBRA, workforce analytics, and large-scale organizational process improvement. Grounded in a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Dr. Pentsil brings an evidence-based, systems-oriented approach to leadership development and organizational strategy. Since 2014, she has advised nonprofits, startups, and mission-driven entrepreneurs on governance design, operational infrastructure, strategic planning, and sustainable growth. She is particularly committed to supporting leaders and organizations that may not have access to enterprise-level resources but are ready to operate with enterprise-level clarity and impact. As a thought leader in leadership and organizational resilience, Dr. Pentsil challenges organizations to move beyond surface-level engagement and toward structural alignment — where leadership development, people strategy, and operational systems work in concert to drive long-term success. Beyond her executive and consulting work, she serves in civic and professional leadership roles, including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., SHRM, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and multiple nonprofit boards, reinforcing her commitment to community advancement and strategic impact. |
